Dr. Don Zimmerman has been involved in crisis response and crisis planning for over 20 years. He provides consultant work and training in the area of mental health crisis response to a wide variety of organizations, agencies, and groups. He is Board Certified in Emergency Crisis Response and School Crisis Response. In addition to crisis response he has expertise in post traumatic stress and death and loss issues. Over the last 15 years he has presented a number of workshops and trainings in the area of crisis response and related areas at numerous national and state conferences.

Crisis Response Experience:
- Deployed to New York area in September and October 2001 to respond to 9/11 act of terrorism as a member of 4 person Indiana NOVA Community Crisis Intervention Response Team
- Deployed to Biloxi, MS September 3-17, 2005 as the clinical director of mental health crisis response team, which was part of the Indiana Task Force deployed through the governor’s office
- Numerous crisis responses in the state of Indiana
- May 10-12,2007 served as clinical director for Indiana Mental Health Crisis Response Team in Project Ardent Sentry (a National Planning Scenario for response to a nuclear devise detonated in Indianapolis…involved National Guard from three states, state agencies and other state responders)
- Numerous school and in state crisis responses in Indiana over last 20years
